One of the highlights of the science and technology Mindanao cluster fair in General Santos City is the science and culture fashion show featuring quality textile and clothing designs developed by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), local designers and cloth makers in the region.
The science and culture fashion show launched the T’nalak country brand — hail as “dream weave.” The T’nalak is traditionally owned by T’boli, the indigenous tribe in the province of Cotabato in Mindanao. With constant S&T interventions and development these native clothing were artistically improved to complement contemporary fashion not only in the region but in the whole world as well.
The fashion show also highlights the DOST-assisted fashion accessory products and traditional costumes unique to Mindanao people and culture.
Fashion models led by Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner up Shamcey Supsup.
