As I recall, blogging back then, was just a personal thing. A kind of testimonial writing to update families and friends about what is happening around. A personal journal on a specific subject matter, personal interest, and or hobbies being published online.

Blogging back then is more as a hobby.

However, as technologies evolved, and the internet has become one of the man’s basic need, after food shelter and clothing. Blogging has become more complex signifying unsurmountable uses and functionalities both for individual and big corporations.

Blogging is now a business process, an avenue to earn money online. That’ where blogpreneur came from.

Blogpreneur is a person who operates a blog as a business. Develops his/her online authority on a particular niche and uses (that authority) as leverage to sell and or promote products, services, directly or indirectly through affiliates. There are several strategies on how to become a successful blogpreneur.

    How to earn money blogging

As the pandemic continue to cripple us down, many are looking for ways to earn money online. Turned out, they become a blogger in no time.

Speaking of earning money online, there are several ways to earn money blogging. I listed down below some of the most popular ones. Likewise as the trend changes, I will be listing them as well (as an update) along with the step-by-step guide for beginners trying to get started blogging.

    1. Making Money through Adsense.

This is where many believed as the main source of making money in blogging. However, as I grow with more experience as a blogger, I realized that putting ads like adsense to my blog would be the least priority. Why because as you progress as successful blogpreneur you will discover better avenues to earn money than monetizing your blog through adsense. However, for beginners, usually still on the process of testing how things work in this new found space, and sometimes aloof to sell products, then the tendency is to resort on adsense monetization strategy. But keep in mind, for this to work, you need to have thousands of visitors per day to get a significant amount of income. And most importantly you need to have tons of contents (articles) to get picked-up (searched) on google. I’ll talk more about that on a separate post.

    2. Online Courses and Workshops.

This is the most profitable avenue for bloggers to earn good amount of money online. As you gain authority blogging, people tend to replicate your success. In order to capture this opportunity, you must be ready to accept the challenge. Develop your best strategies into an online course or workshop, and share / sell to aspiring individual who wants to follow along. Most blogpreneurs are capitalizing on this strategy and making lots of money by just telling their success story to others.

    3. Selling e-Books.

Same as mentioned above. Develop an ebook discussing your best practices and sell them to those who want to replicate your success. This strategy is passive. You just need to setup once and you can earn good amount of money even when you are at the beach enjoying your precious time, so to speak.

    4. Affiliate Marketing.

Recommending products is also a good stream of income for bloggers. It is called affiliate marketing — recommending products, services, of other companies in exchange for a commission.

    5. Paid Reviews/Sponsored Posts.

Paid reviews are as easy as it sounds. Simply write your personal evaluation or experience while using a product or services being reviewed. Then you get paid for it. However some people question this practice, as the tendency to be bias is high and may harm your integrity. However if you are able to remain impartial then that’s all your prerogative. What I mean to say is that, paid reviews is still a great way to boost your monthly income. You can quickly make $50 or more from a small review post.
